Dear community members,

We have asked the Uyghur community to join us on Saturday December 7th so we can learn more from them and meet their community.  Uyghurs are of Turkic-backgrounds, from the Central Asian region. The largest population live in China’s autonomous Xinjiang region, in the country’s north-west. Uyghurs are one of a number of persecuted minorities in Xinjiang, including the Kazakhs, Uzbeks, Tajiks, Kyrgyz and Hui.
